Team
Action Plan Development A 1-1/2 to 2-day workshop to establish a team action plan,
organization and team goals and a profile of the individual work styles of the team
members, including team strengths and potential issues. The goal is to focus the team on
clearly defined, measurable results in a session that is both productive and informative.
Process
Step 1 - Gathering data
We
meet with the team leader to determine her/his goals for the process. We then create
appropriate interview questions. Each team member is interviewed in person or via
telephone to determine her/his view of the organization (goals, culture, etc.) and how the
team is functioning.
Each
participant completes a work-style measure.
Step
2 - Reporting the findings
We
develop a thorough report based on data gathered in Step 1. The report includes individual
and team work-style profiles, the interview findings and team strengths and potential
issues.
Prior
to Step 3, we review the report with the team leader to determine which issues and
findings should be highlighted in the workshop.
Step
3 - Team workshop (1½ - 2 days)
The
workshop includes:
An
introduction to the behavioral characteristics of people and jobs.
A
comprehensive review of individual work styles and team profile.
A
discussion of report findings and team objectives focusing on key goals and next steps.
A
facilitated discussion to develop team goals and action items. This ensures team members
are focused on the primary activities of the unit. The time required for this process will
vary.
The
development of an action plan. This is designed to address possible solutions to
identified issues and assure follow-up.
Step 4 - Follow up (optional)
We
meet with the team leader to determine a schedule for team and individual meetings to
follow-up on action plan commitments and to modify the plan as necessary.
